i asked my section one question today
'will u be able to forgive someone who had betrayed your trust?'
many gave answers
all were correct in one way or the other
even the Bible teaches us to forgive n forget

but it's hard
it's hard to really forgive a person after what had happened
it's easy to say 'i forgive u'
but is that all?
can we really forgive someone n then go on to forget completely what that person has done?

to what extent can we forgive someone?
totally? can it be done?
some degree of hatred remains planted in our hearts
n we tend to remember it for a long time to come
some say, time will heal everything
but i ask, is it really so?
how about the wounds?

many things will leave a scar behind
like a nail driven into a wooden plank,
even after the nail is being removed,
the hole on the wooden plank is clearly visible
can time heal it?

will i be able to?
only time will tell

I agree to that too. It is human nature that we are not able to forget someone easily. Everyone knows that, but we can make an effort not to be so bothered by the past. Instead, we can build trust with the person that we are forgiving in order to gain his trust back.
